Dr. Sharma currently holds the position of Director at the I-Create Centre for Eye, Cosmetic, Skin & Lasers in Janakpuri, New Delhi. Prior to this, he served as the Director and Senior Consultant at Sharp Sight Center and Medfort Hospitals, as well as the Clinical Director at Maxivision Eye Hospital, both located in Janakpuri. Dr. Sharma also established and managed The First Sight Centre, a state-of-the-art cataract and refractive center in West Delhi’s Janakpuri, equipped with the latest refractive and cataract machines.
Dr. Sharma completed his education at AIIMS, graduating from the prestigious Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences in 1991. He also pursued his Senior Residency at AIIMS. He has been a pioneer in Femto cataract and refractive surgery in India, commencing his refractive surgery career at the Banarsi Das Chandiwala Eye Institute in 1996, which was one of the first facilities to introduce excimer laser technology in the country. Dr. Sharma has extensive experience in performing phacoemulsification with multifocal lenses, astigmatic correcting phacoemulsification, and stays up-to-date with advancements in phaco machine technology and various lens designs.
In addition to his current role, Dr. Sharma has served as a Senior Consultant at Mata Chanan Devi Hospital and the Centre for Sight at Safdarjung Enclave. He also held the position of Director and Senior Consultant at the Centre for Sight (East), a renowned center of excellence in refractive and cataract surgery, for a period of five years. Dr. Sharma actively participates in various meetings and conferences as an instructor, speaker, discussant, and chairman, including events organized by DOS and IIRSI. His aim is to bring cutting-edge technology in the field of refractive and cataract surgery to the residents of West Delhi.
