Dr. Sumiran Passey

Dr. Sumiran Passey holds an MD in Sports Medicine from the Faculty of Sports Medicine & Physiotherapy at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar (Punjab). He previously earned his MBBS degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, Mangalore. Dr. Passey specializes in sports medicine and sports sciences, and also holds a FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine. He currently serves as a Media Commission Member for the Indian Association of Sports Medicine and is a certified team physician by the Asian Federation of Sports Medicine and the Asian Football Confederation. Throughout his academic career, he gained clinical experience from prestigious hospitals such as Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Safdurjung Hospital, and Fortis Escorts Hospital. Dr. Passey is a certified AFSM sports rehabilitation specialist and has received extensive training in sports traumatology, non-invasive treatment procedures, biomechanical assessments, sports psychology, human performance assessments, and other sport-related assessments. He has actively participated in numerous National/International forums, including serving as part of the medical assistance team during Commonwealth Boxing Trials at Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports and providing medical cover for various inter-universities and inter-college sports events. Additionally, he has been involved in Anti-Doping awareness programs.
